Qualifications:
BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy- Birmingham City University
BSc (Hons) Psychology with Child and Language Development- Bangor University
Jessica has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist since qualifying in 2014. She worked in the NHS for nine years, gaining a breadth of experience managing a varied and complex caseload of children in community clinics in Birmingham. She also spent several years working as a specialist in a multi-disciplinary team, assessing preschool children for Autistic Spectrum Condition and Global Developmental Delay.
Following this, Jessica spent 4 years working in a Special Educational Needs school, supporting children from nursery to secondary-school age, with communication needs due to their developmental or physiological conditions.
In 2023, Jessica decided to start working independently, she now supports a small caseload of children and their families, and a SEN school in developing their communication in a way that works for them.
She enjoys working with a varied caseload but has particular interest and experience in autism, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and phonology.
