Ella is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society. She is also an Accredited Mindfulness Teacher with Breathworks. Ella has been qualified for over 15 years and both worked in the NHS and has had a personal mindfulness practice since 2001.

Ella offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help people with mood difficulties, such as anxiety and depression. She also draws on a range of Mindfulness Based Approaches. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for example, is a proven and recommended treatment for people who experience recurrent depression. Breathworks’ Mindfulness for Stress (MfS) and Mindfulness for Health (MfH) meditation practices are designed to help people with pain, illness and stress to deepen self-compassion as they put new coping skills into practice.
Ella has a broad range of experience working with a variety of agencies including teams, individuals across the lifespan and groups in both inpatient and community-based settings. She has worked in different countries, working with local communities to set up clinics. Ella has extensive teaching experience offering training and supervision on health psychology modules at a range of Clinical Psychology Training Courses.

Ella can offer specialist support in relation to chronic health conditions such as HIV, Fibromyalgia, CFS/ME and Post-Covid Syndrome. Her most recent NHS post was a leadership role in a busy community adult Mental Health service. More recently, Ella has become interested in psychological trauma, using Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as trauma sensitive mindfulness to help this group.
